Manchester United’s new arrivals could have plenty of options to choose for squad numbers after deparatures of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Memphis Depay and Bastian Schweinsteiger from the club.
The No. 7 worn by Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to be free until United secure the services of a world star player like Antoine Griezmann.
With Victor Lindelof who signed for the Red Devils this transfer window and with players like Nemanja Matic, Alvaro Morata and Ivan Perisic who are expected to complete their move at Old Trafford soon, there will be plenty of changes in Manchester United’s squad numbers.
Morata could take the No. 9 shirt , and Daily Mirror reports that Ivan Perisic may ask for number 44, currently taken by Andreas Pereira.
Matic wears 21 at Chelsea, but that number is assigned to Ander Herrera for three years now.
