Manchester United were outclassed by Chelsea on Sunday, as they were defeated 1-0 at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues had 18 shots on target, with eight of them finding the target, while United had only two shots on target.
This was United’s second defeat of the season and they’re now eight points behind league leaders Manchester City.
But what Jose Mourinho did after Alvaro Morata scored the only goal of the match was pretty humiliating for Jesse Lingard.
According to Manchester Evening News’ Samuel Luckhurst, Mourinho had ordered Lingard to start warming before Chelsea scored.
However, after Morata netted the header, Mourinho told Lingard to sit down and sent Martial to warm instead, with the Frenchman coming on minutes later.
So, Mourinho thought Martial is more capable to make the difference than Lingard, that must’ve been pretty awkward for the England international. //Actuantes//
