Roberto Firmino left 45,000 slip out of his hand by allowing Sadio Mane’s chip to pass the line of the goal against Stoke City earlier this season.
The Brazil internationa could have picked the ball and score himself, but he was praised for his selfless act.
However, Firmino got what he deserved now.
Firmino scored his 15’th and 16’th goals this season in Liverpool’s 5-0 victory against Swansea City on Boxing Day.
And not only did he boost his goals tally for the season with his brace; he also significantly boosted his bank balance.
It was revealed by Football Leaks that the former Bundesliga star earns a basic wage of £68,085-a-week, but he can add another 1.1million pounds depending on the number of goals he scores.
Per the Mirror, Firmino earned £25,000 for each of his first five goals, £45,000 between six and 10 and £65,000 from 11 onwards.
Maybe that was part of the reason why he was so happy after he was subbstituted in the 68’th minute. //Actuantes//
