Chelsea legend Frank Lampard has admitted he is worried about Lionel Messi ahead of the Champions League clash with Barcelona on Wednesday.
Chelsea head to the Nou Camp following a solid 1-1 draw in the first leg of their last-16 clash.
However, Lampard thinks it will be a difficult evening for the Blues in Barcelona because of Lionel Messi.
The Argentina international broke his duck against Chelsea by scoring in the reverse fixture at Stamford Bridge – his first in eight matches against the west London outfit.
And Lampard believes Messi will have a similar impact again, especially as there is a negative vibe around his former side.
“Barcelona will be completely different task [to Crystal Palace],” Lampard told Match of the Day.
“With my Chelsea head on, they have the team that can go there and defend and try to get goals on the break.
“But going to the Nou Camp with that man Lionel Messi will be very tough.”
Lampard was part of the team which won the 2012 Champions League against Bayern Munich.
In the semi-final Chelsea beat Barcelona over two legs which included the memorable Fernando Torres goal.
But the former star fears his ex-club may come up short on this occasion.
