Reports in the past few months linked a Paris Saint-Germain star with a possible move to FC Barcelona, but the player in question has now rubbished the claims.
According to Spanish media, Italy international Marco Verratti was apparently recently offered to the Blaugrana by his agent Mino Raiola as he is supposedly not happy with life in Paris.
The Italian midfielder has since come out and blasted the reports, however, insisting that he has no desire to leave the French giants at this moment in time.
“I’ve read that Raiola has offered me Barcelona but it’s false, there is no truth,” Verratti said, as quoted by Marca.
“I’ve talked to the manager (Unai Emery) and my representatives and they know what I think. Things are clear, I’ve decided to stay.
“This decision has made me grow as a person too.”
The 25-year-old has made 36 appearances for the Ligue 1 side so far this season, scoring two goals and assisting a further seven strikes.
