Xavi Hernandez, former FC Barcelona captain, could become a future PSG coach. That might seem unimaginable and surreal, but it’s not for journalist Alexandre Couppey, author of the book Paris, Revelations of a Revolution. For him, Xavi, currently studying to be a coach, is on the table for PSG.
He said this in an interview with Estadao. The journalist argued that “Antero Henrique (sporting director) wanted one coach, Nasser Al-Khelaifi (president) another. But that happens at a lot of clubs”.
”There’s a lot of different interests at play among the top brass of PSG”.
”I terms of a coach what information I have is that former Barcelona player Xavi Hernandez is someone they want, he knows football well and advises in Doha, while on the other hand there’s German coach Thomas Tuchel”.
”A good clue is that now they’re already listening to Xavi, he could be a future PSG coach.”
Couppey however also linked another name related to Barca. He expalined that PSG told Neymar that Luis Enrique would be his next coach.
“When he went to Brazil in March they promised him that Luis ENrique would ne the coach”.
”Neymar and Luis Enrique are still in touch. If he’s not the one chosen, PSG could have problems.”
