They were afforded another chance to extend their lead in the 70th minute after being awarded a penalty, which Coutinho converted to make it 5-0.
With Barca comfortably leading, Valverde introduced the likes of Paulinho and Ousmane Dembele for the 15 minutes of the encounter.
Sevilla barely showed any real attacking intent in the second half as Barca moved the ball around with ease.
In the end, 5-0 was how the clash ended as the Catalan giants are on course to clinch the league and cup double.
