On-loan Real Madrid superstar James Rodriguez is believed to want to join Jose Mourinho at Manchester United, rather than sign a permanent deal at Bayern Munich.
According to El Gol Digital, the Colombian is ready to snub a permanent contract offer from Bayern in order to join the Red Devils.
The 26-year-old joined the Bavarians on a two-year loan deal in 2017 and is expected to return to Los Blancos in 2019 if the German side do not exercise the reported buy-out option that is in his contract.
Rodriguez has been impressive this season for Bayern, where he has featured regularly under manager Jupp Heynckes.
The report claims the former Monaco and Porto attacker has held talks with United manager Mourinho and reportedly told the Portuguese he would love a move to Manchester in the next transfer window.
It is believed it would be difficult for Rodriguez to get his way, though, as there has been talk of an agreement with Real that he will join the Bundesliga champions permanently next year.
Since joining the Bavarians, the Colombia playmaker has scored seven goals and assisted a further 13 strikes in 36 matches for the club across all competitions.
