Former Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has made a fantastic start to his Arsenal career, and his contract details at the London club have now reportedly been revealed. Find out how much the African superstar earns in England!
As published in German magazine Der Spiegel, the Gunners spent £55 million (R930 million), plus £5 million (R84 million) in add-ons, to lure the Gabonese forward from Germany in January.
The publication has apparently leaked details of the 28-year-old’s massive contract in the Premier League, where he is said to be on £198 000 (R3.3 million) a week.
It is also believed that Aubameyang was paid £18.2 million (R307 million) just to leave Dortmund on the final day of the transfer window in January.
The African star has a massive £15.15 million (R256 million) loyalty bonus in his contract, which will reportedly be paid to him in four instalments before his deal at Arsenal comes to an end in 2021.
It also been claimed that Aubameyang will receive £300 000 (R5 million) if he manages to contribute to 25 goals and assists in a season, while he also earns £50 000 (R846 million) for every match he starts and which Arsenal win.
The contract is also said to include a £2.26 million (R37 million) UEFA Champions League bonus, despite Arsenal not qualifying for the European tournament.
Aubameyang has scored 10 goals and assisted a further four strikes in 14 games for Arsenal since his arrival at the club.
