Paris Saint-Germain’s chairman has revealed what Neymar’s father told him about his son’s future, amid rumours the attacker could leave for Real Madrid.
The Brazilian has been heavily linked with a move to Los Blancos ahead of next season, with many reports suggesting he wants to join up Zinedine Zidane’s men in Madrid.
However, PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi has, once again, insisted the 26-year-old will not be leaving France in this window, saying that even the player’s father has told him the superstar is staying put.
“Neymar? I’ve repeated myself 10 000 times already,” he told L’Equipe.
“He’s going to stay at PSG. Neymar’s tired of the rumours about his future.
“His father told me that his future is in Paris. It’s the Spanish media that are saying otherwise.
“If you believe them then that’s too bad.”
A recent report also suggested, however, that Neymar’s mother feels her son should leave France for his former club FC Barcelona’s rivals Real.
The forward scored 28 goals and assisted a further 19 strikes in 30 games for Les Parisiens this season.
