Brazil legend Ronaldo Nazario has insisted that superstars Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo would be better playing on the same team, amid rumours the Paris Saint-Germain man could join Real Madrid.
The PSG forward has been heavily linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu, but many have suggested he would only join the Spanish giants once the Portuguese retires or moves on.
Los Blancos legend Ronaldo Nazario believes otherwise, however, insisting that his countryman and Real’s record goalscorer would be great teammates.
“Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar are compatible together, they are two good players who would be better together than in separate teams,” he told Cope.
“If Neymar decides at some point that he wants to leave (PSG), then Real Madrid should take care to bring him in.
“Once a player decides to leave, nobody can stop it. It happened to me, but I don’t know if it is a similar situation.”
Despite many reports claiming Neymar is unhappy in France, he had a fantastic 2017/18 campaign with Les Parisiens, during which he contributed to 47 goals in 30 games across all competitions before succumbing to a foot injury.
