Paris Saint-Germain and Brazil superstar Neymar, who is heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid, has revealed who decides where he ends up playing his football, despite reports suggesting otherwise.
The 26-year-old, who moved from FC Barcelona to PSG for a world record fee of €222 million (R2.76 billion) last year, is tipped to return to LaLiga after just one season in Ligue 1.
There have been suggestions in the past that Neymar’s father decides where his son plays his football, but this was dismissed by the forward in a recent interview with a Brazilian magazine.
“My father doesn’t make decisions for my career. I’m the one who decides that,” Neymar told VIP.
“He’s the best adviser I could ask for but, in the end, it’s my call.
“My father takes care of other matters that run parallel to football so that I can focus only on my profession.”
Neymar found the back of the net 28 times and assisted a further 17 strikes in 30 games for Les Parisiens in the 2017/18 campaign.
