Jordi Alba gave an interview to SPORT this Monday after finishing the training session at Krasnodar’s facilities.
The full back reaffirmed his intention was to win “the title that I’m missing”.
Ahe was surprised at Barcelona chairman Jose Maria Bartomeu’s wish that Argentina would win the World Cup for Lionel Messi.
SPORT will offer the full interview in their print edition tomorrow but this was Alba’s response to Bartomeu:
“I don’t really understand that all too well but everyone has their own opinion.
”You need to ask him why he said that. I want Spain to win and for that reason I’m wearing this shirt.”
Alba also spoke on Messi’s recent comments about missing how important ‘La Masia’ used to be at the club.
The left back said this was “for reasons” but, just as Iniesta before him, he believes the youngsters can once again prove to be important at first team level again.
