Premier League giants Arsenal have confirmed the arrival of their third signing, who was also a target for Manchester United.
The Gunners have announced the signing of defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos from Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund.
The 30-year-old has signed long-term deal with the North London outfit and becomes the club’s third signing, following the arrival of Stephan Lichtsteiner and Bernd Leno.
The defender’s father had previously confirmed that Man United were also interested in his.
Papastathopoulos spent eight years at Dortmund, making 198 appearances for the club.
