Uruguay and FC Barcelona star Luis Suarez has hit out at France forward Antoine Griezmann for his reasoning for not celebrating his goal in their quarterfinal clash at the 2018 World Cup.
Griezmann was on target in Le Blues’ 2-0 win over the South American outfit on Friday afternoon.
Tthe Atletico Madrid star revealed he decided no to celebrate out of respect for his friends, while also claiming that he loves Uruguayans.
However, Suarez did not agree with the French striker’s reasons behind not celebrating.
‘He’s not Uruguayan, he’s French and he scored a goal,” Suarez was quoted as saying by Metro.
“He doesn’t know what we have to do to succeed in football.
“He will have his customs and his Uruguayan way of speaking, but we feel differently.”
