Premier League giants Manchester United are reportedly looking at the possibility of signing one of Croatia’s 2018 FIFA World Cup stars.
According to the Daily Mirror, the Red Devils have been impressed with Eintracht Frankfurt forward Ante Rebic’s performances in Russia.
United boss Jose Mourinho is said to be looking for more attacking options for the upcoming season, and has been keeping track of the former Fiorentina star’s development.
Frankfurt sporting director Fredi Bobic has also admitted that the Bundesliga club is willing to sell the Croatian if their evaluation of the 24-year-old is met.
“I am very happy about the success of Ante Rebic with the Croatian national team,” he was quoted as saying, according to the Daily Mirror.
“The players and the coaching team are watching the World Cup games together in the training camp in the US and, of course, are especially excited about Ante.
“So far, there are no offers available and we’re planning a steady season with Ante Rebic for the new season.
“Of course, we know that a lot can happen when a big club makes an offer. We cannot compete economically with the big ones, but that’s nothing new.”
Rebic, who will face France in the World Cup final in Moscow on Sunday, has made five appearances for Croatia in the tournament so far, scoring one goal.
