Jose Mourinho Warns Manchester United Board

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has straightforwardly sent his club’s board a warning, following the Red Devils’ 1-0 friendly loss to Bayern Munich on Sunday night.

Despite it being a pre-season fixture, the 20-time English champions were outplayed and outclassed by Niko Kovac’s Bavarians on Sunday evening, which has worried many fans ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.¬†

United had just one shot at goal and only 28% of the possession at the Allianz Arena, leaving Mourinho concerned about the board’s lack of activity in the transfer window.

“If we don’t make our team better, it’ll be a difficult season for us,” he told¬†MUTV.

“The other clubs who compete with us are really strong and already have fantastic teams. Or they are investing massively like Liverpool, who are buying everything and everybody.

“My CEO knows what I want and I still have a few days to wait and see what happens.”

United have signed Fred, Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant ahead of the new campaign, but reports suggest that Toby Alderweireld and Harry Maguire is still on their transfer wish list.
