It has been reported that Spanish giants Real Madrid have finally identified who they would like to replace superstar Cristiano Ronaldo with in this transfer window.
Ronaldo signed for Juventus earlier in this window after nine incredible years at Los Blancos, during which he won the UEFA Champions League four times.
Manager Julen Lopetegui has insisted many times he is delighted with his team as it is, suggesting that he does not feel the need to replace Ronaldo with a high-profile signing.
However, according to Spanish outlet Libertad Digital, officials from the LaLiga giants have flown to Italy to holds talks with Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi.
The forward’s agent, Wanda Nara – who is also his wife – apparently feels the Argentine would be a great fit for the 13-time UCL winners.
Icardi has been linked with Los Blancos a number of times in recent years, with the report claiming that Real are looking to bring in more firepower to the club.
The 25-year-old has scored 107 goals and assisted a further 23 strikes in 182 matches for the Nerazzurri.
