LaLiga champions FC Barcelona have confirmed their new club captain for the 2018/19 season along with their other three captains.
Following the departure of Andres Iniesta to Japanese outfit Vissel Kobe, Lionel Messi has been confirmed the first captain, the club confirmed on their website.
Messi has had the role of the second captain since 2015 and he will follow in the footsteps of club legends Carles Puyol, Xavi Hernandez and Iniesta.
Sergio Busquets will be the second captain, while Gerard Pique is third line as he enters his 10th season with the club.
Utility player Sergio Roberto becomes the fourth captain, taking over from Javier Mascherano, who left the club in January.
