With Spanish giants Real Madrid having sold forwards such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Alvaro Morata, Jese and Mariano Diaz over the past few years, they are now reportedly planning on re-signing one of these players in this transfer window.
Los Blancos have made a lot of profit on the sales of several attacking players in the past few seasons, even selling a 33-year-old Ronaldo for more than what they paid for him.
At the beginning of the previous season, Real sold striker Mariano Diaz to Olympique Lyon for £7.2 million (R131 million), and the player went on to score 21 goals in 45 matches in 2017/18.
Diaz scored loads of goals for the Spanish giants’ Castilla team, and managed five strikes in 14 senior matches at Real before his exit.
According to Marca, however, Julen Lopetegui is thinking about bringing the player back in this window to add depth to his attack.
Sevilla are also said to be heavily interested in the 25-year-old, although it has been claimed Lyon would prefer to sell him to a Premier League club for a massive fee.
The English window is, however, closed, meaning that if he does leave the French side in the coming days, it could be to go back to Spain.
