Mauro Icardi’s wife and agent says there’s no rush for the Inter captain to sign a new deal – “he still has three years on his contract”.
The striker has a €110m release clause in his current deal, which is valid for foreign clubs in the first two weeks of July.
The Nerazzurri are keen to raise or remove that clause, while offering the Argentine a pay rise, but it appears a deal is not close.
“He still has three years on his contract with Inter, there’s no renewal theme,” Wanda Icardi, his wife and agent, said on Tiki Taka.
“I’m very happy, I’ve always been very calm. It’s you who have anxiety.
“Icardi’s goals in the Champions League? They’re very important. For him, as for Cristiano Ronaldo and other players, is the most important competition outside of the national team.”
