Poland striker Krzysztof Piatek, who plays for Genoa in Italy, has been in sensational form since arriving in Serie A.
The 23-year-old has scored 13 goals in just eight matches this season for Genoa, with nine of those strikes coming in league football from just seven games.
In a recent interview, Piatek said that he has received word that Barca is looking into the possibility of signing him and admitted that anything can happen next season.
“I have heard that Barcelona want to sign me, but I do not believe it,” he told DAZN.
“I did very well last season and felt I needed to move on and I have only been here for two months helping my team, but who knows what the situation will be next year.”
Piatek spent two years at Cracovia Krakow before his move to Serie A, scoring 32 goals in 65 matches for the Polish club.
The forward cost Genoa just £4.05 million (R78 million) at the beginning of the season, but will undoubtedly see his value increase come the end of the campaign.
