A £100 million-rated Bundesliga starlet has been linked with Premier League giants Manchester United and Liverpool.
Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho has set the league alight after assisting six goals and scoring one himself in the first seven games of the new season.
As a consequence of his brilliant form, the 18-year-old received a call-up to Gareth Southgate’s latest England squad and has been linked with Premier League giants such as Manchester United and Liverpool, while Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur und Chelsea are also said to be monitoring the player’s situation in Germany.
His club is said to have slapped a £100 million (R1.9 billion) price tag on their new superstar in the making, having only recently extending his contract until 2022.
“That’s mad! Woah! I don’t know what to say to that,” Sancho said, as quoted by the London Evening Standard, when asked about the massive price tag.
“Do I feel like playing in England again? I don’t know. It’s the future. You never know what could happen, so we wait and see.
“I’m happy to be a part of Dortmund. Obviously, I have got to say thank you to the (Dortmund) manager (Lucien Favre) for playing me, trusting and believing in me.”
Sancho, who left Manchester City’s youth academy for the Bundesliga side last year, has had a meteoric rise to stardom, which was propelled to a new level after his call-up to England’s senior squad.
“I was a bit surprised, to be fair, because, obviously, I’m so young so I have still got a lot to learn,” he explained.
“I’m just grateful that he’s (coach Gareth Southgate) seeing my progress in the Bundesliga, and I’m just very thankful.”
The skillful winger is currently in the England camp preparing for the Three Lions’ high-profile clashes against Croatia and Spain.
