Luis Suarez continued in his impressive form in the absence of Lionel Messi, as his brace inspire FC Barcelona to 3-2 win over Rayo Vallecano in LaLiga.
The deadlock was broken after 11 minutes as Luis Suarez continued his fine form with a close range finish after being picked out by Jordi Alba.
Rayo managed to equalise midway through the first half through Jose Angel Pozo, who sent a fine strike into the bottom corner after Barca failed to deal with a cross.
Suarez nearly restored Barca’s lead shortly before the break with a smashing strike that crashed against the woodwork that left Alberto Garcia rooted to the spot.
The Catalan giants ended the half on a strong note, but they were unable to restore their lead and went into the break level pegging with Rayo.
Ernesto Valverde opted for a change shortly after the break as Rafinha made way for Ousmane Dembele in the 52nd minute.
However, it was the home side who took the lead in the 57th minute as Alvaro Garcia slotted home from close just seconds after coming on a substitute.
As a result, Valverde threw on Arturo Vidal and Munir El Haddadi for the final 20 minutes with the hope of bagging an eqauliser.
The equaliser eventually arrived with three minutes remaining, with Dembele firing volley into the bottom corner after being teed up by Gerard Pique.
On the 90th minute, Barca secured the winning goal as Suarez completed his brace by latching onto cross from Sergi Roberto before poking the ball beyod Garcia.
