Without giving anything away whilst attending the Atletico Madrid-Dortmund Champions League game, Spain coach, Luis Enrique, suggested, when asked, that Jordi Alba has always played at his current high level.
On Thursday, the squad list for the games against Croatia and Bosnia will be released, and many expect Alba’s name to be on it.
“Jordi Alba? He’s at a very high level, but has always been like this,” he said to reporters.
Barcelona centre-back, Gerard Pique, is just one to come out and support the candidacy of his club colleague.
“Pique understands a lot about football,” Enrique continued.
“I know him very well and I accept any advice.”
There will be a few changes to the last squad, and it remains to be seen if the Barcelona left-back is one of them.
“Yes, there will be some changes,” he added.
“But I haven’t counted them.
“Whether there are more than four or five changes or less, depends on what I see in training.”
