A Paris Saint-Germain star has reportedly agreed to join FC Barcelona after the Ligue 1 club confirmed the player had rejected a new deal with them.
Adrien Rabiot has endured a tough time with the Ligue 1 giants recently, finding himself consigned to the bench at times.
According to French publication Le Parisien, the 23-year-old has now agreed to join the Catalan giants after rejecting a new contract in Paris.
PSG sporting director Antero Henrique recently revealed that the player has informed the club he will not be signing a new deal, and will leave for free once the season has concluded.
“At this point, no. It was a decision made by the club following a meeting I had with the player,” Henrique told Yahoo Sports France.
“The player informed me that he would not sign a contract and that he wanted to leave the club by being free at the end of the season, at the end of his contract.
“For the player, this will have a very clear consequence: he will remain on the bench for an indefinite period.”
The French midfielder was heavily linked with Barca last season, while Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur were also reportedly keen to secure his services.
