Barcelona defender Javier Mascherano has spoken about the whole Neymar to PSG situation.
The Brazilian superstar has reportedly agreed terms to join Paris Saint-Germain on a world record deal.
The Ligue 1 giants are ready to pay his 197million pounds buyout clause.
Esporte Interactivo has reported that the 25-year-old is set to join the Parc des Princes side after he has already agreed personal terms with Unai Emery’s side.
However, there’s no official announcement yet so everything is still up in the air right now.
Barcelona are still believeing that the player will stay, but Neymar has been told to leave the club by his entourage in the hunt for more individual success, which he can’t achieve with Lionel Messi in the same team.
But his Barca team-mate Mascherano remains confident that the former Santos star will stay at Camp Nou.
Mascherano told ESPN: “There’s always going to be rumours and news around him.
“It’s really difficult to give advice. Firstly, I’m not anyone to be giving advice and secondly, I see him really happy here, really happy.
“He is a really important player for the club. Because of his age, he’s the future of the club and we hope we can keep on counting on him.”
