Antonio Conte has said that it wasn’t his decision to sell Nemanja Matic to Manchester United, and it’s for Chelsea’s board to clarify the reason why the midfielder was sold to a direct Premier League rival.
The Serbia international completed his move to the Red Devils for a reported fee of 40million pounds, signing a three-year contract.
When Conte was asked why Matic was sold to United instead of to other club abroad, he said: “You have to ask the club about this.”
Chelsea before have always maintained that the players transfers were always down to the manager.
The Blues so far have managed to secure the signing of Alvaro Morata, Antonio Rudiger and Tiemoue Bakayoko. //Actuantes//
