Jose Mourinho has accused Manchester United fans for being “very quiet” during the game against Leicester City, which the Red Devils won 2-0 at Old Trafford on Saturday.
And the Portugese coach wasn’t impressed with the way United fans reacted until Marcus Rashford scored the first goal of the match.
And this isn’t the first time the former Chelsea manager has complained about the lack of noise at the Theatre of Dreams, as he said it could “do better” after defeating Hull City in the EFL Cup last season.
“Rashford scored from a corner that I didn’t even see because I was speaking with Lingard,” Mourinho said, before he was asked for clarification over whether he saw it.
“I didn’t, I was speaking with Lingard because Lingard was going to be the next player to come in when we scored the goal,” Mourinho added.
“I saw the ball jumping in the net, or the guys jumping, I don’t know.
“It was the first time I listen to the crowd because they were very quiet today, so it would be easy to know that was a goal because it was the first time I really understand the stadium was full.” //Actuantes//
