Sevilla secured a hard fought draw 2-2 against Liverpool on Wednesday night in their opening Champions League season match at Anfield.
The Reds can only blame themselves for the fact they didn’t secure a win as they missed a lot of good chances and also lost a penalty.
However, during the second half, Sevilla manager Eduardo Berizo was sent off after he throwed the ball away from Liverpool players for the second time.
And Jurgen Klopp was frustrated by the opposition’s bench actions.
After the final whistle, the German manager was involved in a heated argument with Sevilla’s staff and was heard saying: “Why are you shouting, Why are you doing that? What have I done? What have I done? I didn’t send him off!”
But the situation calmed later and Klopp said after the match that he was invited into Sevilla’s dressing room afterwards.
“They invited me (into the dressing room). 100% no problem,” Klopp said, as per the Liverpool Echo.
“The manager of Sevilla asked me to come into the dressing room, he wanted to explain the situation around his red card, whatever.
“We had a completely normal talk afterwards, everything’s fine, there was not a bit (of trouble). there were a lot of smiles, maybe there was not not a smile on my face but not because of the things we spoke about, only because of the result.” //Actuantes//
