Pep Guardiola aimed a dig at Man United and Red Devils fans are hating it

Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho have a known rivalry since 2010, after the semi-final between Barcelona and Inter Milan.

And since Guardiola came to the Premier League their rivalry has continued, with both tacticians managing two biggest clubs of Manchester, City and United.

The two teams are fighting head to head for the top of the Premier League table, with both having collected 16 points from their fist six matches.

And when he was asked by BBC’s Gary Lineker to comment about the direct style of play in England, Guardiola couldn’t resist a dig at Mourinho.

“I don’t think so,” he said, via the Mirror.

“You see for example you see the national team, Dier, Dele Alli, Marcus Rashford, John Stones, Kyle Walker, Henderson, Lallana – these are players who have the quality to play.

“I see Chelsea, I see Tottenham, they want to play, they like to play, and build up, so when United play long balls, second balls they play to Fellaini and Pogba after they have the quality to play.”

Here’s how United fans reacted. //Actuantes//
